Two Bare Hands

#1 It's been a long time coming!

Well here I am.. swimming in the utter madness that is 2020 so far.

I had just started a new job in December, and shortly after was given notice on our rental home as our landlord was retiring and wanted to renovate and move into it. We were stoked at the timing, because we were starting to look for a home to buy, now that I had some more income.

Little did we know what was around the corner. The housing market was a struggle immediately, but we were starting to run out of time to find something suitable when all of a sudden Covid 19. New Zealand went into lockdown, rental notices were frozen, and we could no longer look for a home. Lockdown comes off, but out borders are still closed to tourists, and since my job is at the airport, it was majorly affected by everything. Hospitality restrictions on top of travel restrictions meant my income was cut by over half.

So we have had to find another rental, and keep hoping for things to change on the income front so that we can look to purchase again. In the meantime I am trucking on with Two Bare Hands, I’ve just had my first session dyeing in the new kitchen and am hoping to get the new yarn listed soon.

If we haven’t met before, this is me! My name is Adele, I dye yarn for you to make wonderful things out of! I’m also the wife of one, mother of two, slave to one cat and friend to many. It’s lovely to have you here at my place... please leave me a comment if you stop by, and I hope to upload more content to the blog soon.
