Avocado Season

Avocado Season
Avocado Season is a gorgeous tonal buttery green, just like a perfectly ripe avocado. To be honest, I thought this colour was a dud when it was in the pot.. it looked horrible!..but finished and dried I absolutely love it. It goes really beautifully with Bosom Buddies, and with Honey, Pink Pearl and even Lavenders Blue. It would make a beautiful cardigan, or light jumper like a Tegna or a floozy, or would look stunning combined in a stripe with one of my other colourways on this base in a LayerCake or Timely cardigan. This yarn has a faint fuzziness to it and will knit up beautifully soft.
Hand dyed yarn is always going to have variances, so if you are knitting a garment be sure to alternate skeins.
A Little Bit Fancy is 80% Merino Wool, 10% Mulberry Silk, and 10% Nylon
It’s pretty special, with the luxurious qualities of high quality merino combining with the sheen and strength of that little touch of silk. The nylon gives it that little bit extra durability making this a great sock yarn, but so much more!
This yarn has not been superwash treated, and so it takes the dye a little differently. The colours are slightly muted, like watercolours and have a lovely warmth to them. I think it would be particularly lovely in a colour-work sweater, or even something a little bit lacy.
